Located to the right of Sussex Gardens as you turn to go to Paddington station, Athena London offers a convenient location for business travelers. the proximity to transport links makes it easy to access all the city's highlights and major attractions. the rooms are clean and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and adequate bathroom facilities. the friendly staff provide good service and are always ready to assist guests. the breakfast, though simple, is sufficient to start the day. Athena London provides a pleasant stay for business travelers.

The only positives for this hotel is the location and proximity to the Underground metro.
This hotel is at best a 1 star hotel with very small rooms and dilapidated amenities. Heaters don't work and if they do turn on it sets off the fire alarms. The floor is dirty and the sheets have seen better days many years ago. The closet for a 5 person room is completely inadequate and the bathroom was moldy and the toilet permanently stained. The breakfast is the same everyday and at time we were served moldy bread and watered down orange juice that also tasted a bit rancid.

The hotel had a good location near Paddington station and if yoy wanted you could walk to OXford street using 15 minutes. There were pubs and restaurants nearby. The hotel was clean (no carpets in the hotel room) and inviting. It was quiet even the hotel was filled with teenagers. The breakfast was good.
The rooms were really small. The doublebed was at max 120cm wide and there was no floorspace. I would say this was a singleroom made in to a doubleroom.

The location but there is many better hotels just next to it
The hotel is bad bad bad. It doesn't worse a penny of what we paid... I regret choosing the hotel. Lady at the reception dull but can say polite but the other 2 men has no customer service what so ever asked them to guide us about city attractions they gave us a face like we don't know. Next day for breakfast it was owfull another lady who are serving the breakfast was tough and shouting around although there was 2 nice girls, food was 2 eggs, sausage and beens thats it..only one kind of juice cereal in a plastic box not a standard hotel breakfast. Regardless to all this the room is very old and the toilet was disgusting I couldn't take shower for 3 days and hardly goes to the toilet..the smell of the paint was too much while passing though the corridors.. I would never recommend it to anyone..it doesn't worse a 330 pounds for 2 nights by any mean.

The hotel is in a great location, just a few steps away from the train and bus stations. The breakfast is decent enough and the staff are friendly and helpful. The room size is decent considering the price, and the room and bathroom were clean upon our arrival.
The walls are paper-thin and we could hear every single noise coming from the rooms next to us. Not good when our neighbors decided to have a party until the early hours of the morning.

Good location.
Trash can was full of garbage. Dirty blanket with a hole. No shampoo. No phone. disproportionate price in relation to other hotels . Demanded an additional 5% on the internet price for credit card payment. Every step of the customers over us made terrible squeaking noise and waked from sleep . We asked reception to call a taxi to the airport and to our surprise we paid £ 15!!! more than the taxi price without .informing us

Travelling with a young family and having mobility issues myself this hotel ticked all of our boxes, the staff were some of the most pleasant and helpful people that we could of hoped to meet. Breakfast could do with a revamp, a small increase in room rate and a larger breakfast would have been most acceptable, however the breakfast as was, was well cooked and well presented. All in all thankyou for a comfortable weekend, and the offer to keep my luggage in storage till we had finished a days sight seeing, (after check out) made all the differance

It is being near to the Paddington Rail and underground station makes it easy for Heathrow connection and travelling pn London. Staff is friendly.
The room I stayed was very small and it was not very comfortable. The towels and the room could be cleaner. When compared with the similar hotels nearby, it was expensive. I checked the rates of similar hotels on Sussex Gardens and compared the room quality with the rate they ask.
